Pahang Govt reveals 29 names of fake Datuks


KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 29 forged names on the list of medal recipients from the Sultan of Pahang have been revealed through a Public Notice issued by the Pahang government.

The names of the individuals involved have been listed following the falsification of the list of medal recipients from the Sultan of Pahang with regards to the titles of "Datuk" and "Datuk Seri".

The notice was issued by the Pahang State Secretary Datuk Seri Dr Sallehuddin Ishak in a post on the state government's official Facebook account.

They are Chan Choon Lai, Selvamuthu Raja a/l Muthusamy, Mahesh Anand a/l Jaganathan, Md Rumon Alam, Eng Cheong, Sayyidul Ihsan bin Abd Razak, Md Shajahan Alam, Sukdev Singh a/l Harcharan Singh, Chew Han Siong and Pang Khong Nam.

Also listed are Teo Soon Heng, Santhiran Segaren a/l Ramasamy, Tan See Hon, Lim Kah Wui, Saw Kain Seng, Tan Chin Long, Dinesh Singh a/l Sudheer, Mohd Ismailly Marshall bin Abdullah, Law Chun Mun @ Wong Chun Mun and Abdul Rahman bin Maarum.

The rest of the names are Hong Ka Hee, Megat Hadzlie bin Adlan, Afandi bin Husin, Lee Kok Sun, Muhammad Ispandi bin Othman, Chew Chin Ann, Ten Yee Lim, Maslan bin Haji Urmin and Tee Cheng Chuan.

On Dec 28 last year, two former employees of the Pahang State Secretary's office pleaded not guilty to 29 charges of modifying the content of the Pahang state honours and medals list on their website without permission.

Mohd Isa Mohd Yusof, 36, faces 26 charges of entering the names of 26 individuals of various nationalities aged between 34 and 61 on the website.

Muhammad Amer Syafeeq Aziz, 30, faces three charges of entering the names of three individuals on the website.

They are charged with committing an offense under Section 5 (1) of the Computer Crime Act 1997 and if found guilty face a fine not exceeding RM100,000, imprisonment not exceeding seven years or both upon conviction.
