One dead, two hurt in six-vehicle pile-up on Federal Highway


KUALA LUMPUR: A 57-year-old Indonesian man was killed while two other individuals were hurt in a six-vehicle pile up at the Federal Highway near the Bukit Raja exit.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis said the pile-up occurred at 7.47am on Friday (Jan 13).

"The accident caused three victims to be pinned in their vehicles.

"Two of them were assisted by members of the public and they suffered various injuries.

"Firemen at the scene managed to pull out the last victim but he succumbed to his injuries," he said when contacted on Friday.

The victim's body has been handed over to the police, he said.

"The victim who died was identified as A Rahman Md Amin," he added.
