KOTA KINABALU: An ailing elderly man was among 13 residents evacuated from their homes after wooden stilt houses in Kampung Tanjung Aru Baru were lashed by strong waves during the latest episode of the king tide phenomenon.
Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel helped send 70-year-old Chong Kai Ki, who was living alone, to the hospital after they were informed of the condition of his house following the high tide incident at 1am yesterday.
