Malaysia supports UN Security Council resolution on Myanmar

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia welcomes the resolution adopted by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on the situation in Myanmar, stressing the resolution is significant in supporting ASEAN’s central role in finding a peaceful solution for the junta-led country.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday said that Malaysia will work closely within Asean and its external partners to ensure progress in these efforts in the interests of the people of Myanmar.
