Batang Kali landslide: All police personnel fully committed to search ops

HULU SELANGOR: Police personnel involved in the Search and Rescue (SAR) operation at the Father's Organic Farm landslide site will give their full commitment to the task at hand, says Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani (pic).

The Inspector-General of Police said the SAR operation had entered its fourth day but police personnel and officers were trained emotionally and physically to overcome any challenge and situation, especially involving natural disasters.

"Each of their duties has been planned carefully taking into account their welfare and expertise.

"Quality preparation and training has been instilled in all of them as management knowledge and skills as well as effective psychology," he said.

"Despite being fatigued, I am confident they are able to give their full commitment in carrying out the SAR operation," added the IGP in a statement on Monday (Dec 19).

The IGP said cooperation between various agencies, NGOs and SAR personnel was very important.

"Let us all pray for all tasks to be done thoroughly and all victims will be found," he said.
