Batang Kali landslide: Search ops to resume on Dec 19 morning for missing victims


HULU SELANGOR: Search and rescue (SAR) operations have come to a halt for a second time on Sunday (Dec 18) due to heavy rain at the Father's Organic Farm landslide site in Batang Kali.

The operation will resume on Monday (Dec 19) morning for the remaining nine victims.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Norazam Khamis said the SAR was halted at 8.11pm.

"The operation will stand down until tomorrow morning. We will conduct an assessment based on the structural strength of the soil before we resume our operation," he said when contacted.
