PETALING JAYA: Khairy Jamaluddin has congratulated Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on his appointment as the 10th Prime Minister, although the outcome was not what he had expected.
Having served in the Cabinet, the former health minister noted that he knew of the tough decisions awaiting the new premier and that he wished Anwar and his team all the best in navigating the challenges in the next few years.
"As the dust settles after a long week, it is important that the nation has some clarity about where we go next.
"The results may not be what I hoped for, but the nation must always come first," he wrote on his Instagram on Friday (Nov 25) evening.
