Annuar Musa: Adhere to the King's statement, stop creating disharmony

PETALING JAYA: All gatherings and activities which may create disharmony must be stopped immediately, says former Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

The former Ketereh Umno MP said the decision by the King on who will be the next Prime Minister must now be respected and followed.

Annuar – calling himself the Muafakat Nasional president - said this in a Facebook post minutes after the Palace's announcement that Pakatan Harapan chairman and PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be sworn in as the tenth Prime Minister.

He said that with the official announcement from Istana Negara, the process of choosing and appointing a Prime Minister in accordance with the Federal Constitution has now been completed.

"The decision must be respected and the orders of the King must be followed. The focus must now be on a government with authority and ability to bring stability and harmony to the people," said Annuar.

"All gatherings and activities which can bring disharmony should be stopped," he added, saying that he will now be activating Muafakat Nasional for the good of the nation.
