Stern action will be taken against those who threaten nation's safety, says IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: All parties should refrain from causing anything that could disrupt public order and safety following the end of the 15th General Election (GE15), says Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani (pic).

The Inspector-General of Police said the voting process on polling day had gone smoothly.

"We are ready to face any possibility during the post-GE15 phase and period to determine the next government.

"All elements within the police force have been mobilised to ensure public order is preserved," he said in a statement on Sunday (Nov 20).

The IGP said stern action will be taken on anyone who threatens the nation's safety.
