PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional's parliamentary candidate Chua Jian Boon has continued to contribute his services to people in Kulai even after he received threats, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday (Nov 15), Dr Wee said that despite his young age of 29, Chua had contributed much to the Kulai community.
"Just because he wanted to safeguard the fate of the people, he received various threats and even his house was splashed with red paint by irresponsible parties," said the MCA president.
Chua will face Perikatan Nasional candidate Datuk Tan Chin Hock and Pakatan Harapan candidate Teo Nie Ching.
"I believe Kulai will be better if the mandate is given to Chua Jian Boon.
"I appeal to Kulai voters to give Chua a chance to become Kulai's representative on Nov 19," he said.
Teo, who is also DAP's national publicity chief, has held the Kulai seat for two terms.
She also served as deputy education minister from July 2018 to February 2020.
