Actress Syazlin Suhaizan falls to her death from 22nd floor of JB apartment


JOHOR BARU: A local female celebrity has died after falling from the 22nd floor of an apartment in Taman Iskandar here on Thursday (Nov 10).

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Syazlin Suhaizan Zainal, a model and social media influencer, who has also acted in several Malay local dramas.

The victim's brother, Reza Zachary Zainal, 33, said his family was saddened over the death of her little sister whom he described as cheerful.

"Just two days ago, my sister wished our eldest brother a happy birthday and she would have celebrated her birthday on Monday (Nov 14).

"The last time we met Syazlin was about two weeks ago when she was in Kuala Lumpur," he said when met at the Sultanah Aminah mortuary here on Friday (Nov 11).

Reza Zachary added that his little sister was a caring person who always loved playing with her nephews and nieces.

"Normally, we would be holding a joint birthday celebration but now there will not be any.

He said they would be taking back Syazlin's body back to Setiawangsa in Kuala Lumpur for burial.

Meanwhile, Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said that police were notified about the incident at around 12.50pm on Thursday.

"Medical officers at the scene confirmed her death and the police did not find any evidence of crime," he said, adding that the case has been classified as sudden death.
