Six injured after tree falls on car, bike on Jalan Maluri


KUALA LUMPUR: Six people were rushed to the hospital after a tree fell on a car and a motorcycle along Jalan Maluri here.

City Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre said they received a distress call on the incident at 4.07pm on Sunday (Nov 6).

"We dispatched Fire Engines, Emergency Medical Rescue Service vehicles and 18 personnel from the Hang Tuah and Bandar Tun Razak Fire Stations to the scene.

"They arrived at the scene and found that three cars and a motorcycle were pinned under a tree which fell due to heavy rain and strong winds," it said in a statement on Sunday.

It said four people travelling in a car and two people on a motorcycle were rushed to the Ampang Hospital for treatment following the incident.

"Our personnel are now on scene to cut and remove the tree which is obstructing the road," it said.
