SEREMBAN: Talk of three-term Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin (pic) contesting a seat in Selangor in GE15 is gaining further credence as his name is missing from a supposedly leaked list of Barisan Nasional candidates here.
Many had speculated that the Health Minister would be fielded in Kuala Pilah or Tampin after he was asked to vacate Rembau, a Barisan stronghold.

Based on the list which went viral, Kuala Pilah Umno deputy chief Datuk Adnan Abu Hassan will be fielded in the constituency and Gemas assemblyman Datuk Abdul Razak Ab Said will stand in Tampin.
Adnan is also Senaling assemblyman.

Talk has been rife that Khairy would be offered the Sungai Buloh seat in Selangor.
The Sungai Buloh parliamentary seat, known as Subang before a redelineation exercise, has been held by PKR's R. Sivarasa for three terms.

When contacted, Negri Umno secretary Mustafa Salim said: "Please wait for the official announcement."
According to the unverified list, Jelebu MP Datuk Seri Jalaluddin Alias will be defending his seat; Mohamad will be fielded in Rembau; Datuk Shamsulkahar Md Deli, who is Serting assemblyman, will contest Jempol instead of incumbent Datuk Mohd Salim Mohd Sharif.
In GE14, Barisan won the Rembau, Jempol and Jelebu seats while Pakatan emerged victorious in Seremban, Rasah, Port Dickson, Tampin and Kuala Pilah.
