Malaysian extradited to US for alleged wildlife trafficking

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian alleged to have been involved in wildlife trafficking has been extradited to the United States to face charges linked to illegal wildlife parts operations and money laundering.

Teo Boon Ching was charged with participating in a conspiracy to traffic in more than 70 kg of rhinoceros horns valued at more than US$725,000 (RM3.37mil), said the US Department of Justice.
