Female clerk collapses, dies beside brother's grave in Melaka

ALOR GAJAH: A 46-year-old female clerk collapsed and died beside the grave of her late brother at a Muslim cemetery in Lubok China here on Sunday (Oct 9).

Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Arshad Abu said the victim, Suhaidzra Abd Zahar, worked at a legal firm in Seremban, Negri Sembilan.

He said the victim regularly visited the grave of her younger brother who died in November last year.

"The victim loved her late brother very much and frequently drove back from her house at Seremban Two to Lubok China to visit his grave.

"Eyewitnesses said that the victim collapsed suddenly beside her brother's grave at 10.45am," he said.

Supt Arshad said the victim was the third of nine siblings and was still single.

He said police have classified the case as sudden death until the outcome of the autopsy report from Alor Gajah Hospital.

Supt Arshad added that the preliminary hospital report indicated the victim suffered a heart attack.
