KUALA LUMPUR: Three men are expected to be charged on Thursday (Oct 6) with abducting and causing hurt to a businessman here.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the three will be brought to the Ampang Court Complex on Thursday morning.

"The three are expected to be charged under Section 365 and Section 323 of the Penal Code," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Oct 5).
On Sept 29, the 38-year-old businessman was abducted in front of a restaurant in Pandan Indah by a group of men in a white Toyota Vellfire.

The victim was later released and the motive is believed to be linked to unpaid debts. Videos of the abduction, which show several motorcyclists chasing after the vehicle, went viral on social media.
Following the abduction, police arrested two suspects and seized a vehicle believed to be used in the incident.

The suspects, aged 37 and 40 years old, were a factory worker and a vegetable seller who had prior convictions.
The police had also seized clothes, handphones and a Toyota Vellfire that is believed to have been used during the abduction.
Both suspects have been remanded until Oct 6.
