Issues raised by PAC on MySejahtera procurement mostly resolved, says KJ

KUALA LUMPUR: Many of the issues raised by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on the procurement of the MySejahtera application have been resolved, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

“We take note of issues regarding the initial procurement which I have tried to rectify and regularise after my appointment to @KKMPutrajaya,” Khairy said in a tweet while thanking the parliamentary committee for its report.

He said the ministry also supports the PAC’s recommendations on the application being used as a digital platform for health.

“Many of the issues raised have been resolved and @KKMPutrajaya has ensured that ownership of the app/platform is with KKM, data privacy and security are guaranteed and @my_sejahtera can be further enhanced for public health as per PAC’s recommendations,” he added.

Earlier on Tuesday (Oct 4), the PAC had tabled a report in the Dewan Rakyat on the development of the MySejahtera application under the Health Ministry, Finance Ministry and the Prime Minister’s Department.

Two proceedings had taken place on April 14 and April 21.

The report among others found that the appointment of the developer of the application was against government procurement procedures.
