Rescued cosmetics agent safely home in Tumpat


PETALING JAYA: A kidnap victim who was smuggled into Thailand has returned safely to her house in Tumpat.

Cosmetics sales agent Rosnazirah Mohd Naim, who was rescued by Thai authorities, was repatriated on Sept 29.

According to Astro Awani, the 36-year-old woman was brought back to her home in Tumpat, Kelantan, earlier on Monday (Oct 3).

The video accompanying the report shows her crying and hugging family members before entering the house.

On Sept 29, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the 36-year-old was rescued by Thai police.

This followed the arrest of seven men in Malaysia after her kidnapping on Sept 13.

Previously, acting Kelantan police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said investigations found that the woman's husband was suspected of having a disagreement with a member of the same drug trafficking syndicate to which he belonged.

DCP Muhamad Zaki said the victim was aware of her husband's involvement in the drug trafficking syndicate.
