Firefighters rescue boy after cone gets stuck on head


PONTIAN: A 10-year-old boy had to be rescued by firefighters after getting his head stuck inside a cone while playing at his school here.

Pontian fire and rescue station operation chief Mohd Ezal Azman said that they received a distress call coming from SK Api Api about an incident involving one of their students at around 1.28pm.

He added that one fire engine with six firefighters was deployed to the school immediately.

“When we arrived at the school, we found a boy with a cone stuck on his head. We had to cut the cone using rescue tools to remove it from the boy’s head safely,” he said on on Tuesday (Sept 27).

Mohd Ezal added that the operation ended at around 1.55pm after ensuring the boy was safe from any harm and the firemen return back to the station.
