Man dies while hiking Kledang Hill


IPOH: A 40-year-old man who collapsed while hiking at Kledang Hill near here was pronounced dead by paramedics.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said Shahrom Ahmad Salaludin was found unconscious while hiking with a friend.

He said the department received a distress call at 6.09pm Monday (Sept 26) from the public.

“The man fell when he was about 400m from the foot of the hill.

“He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the site,” added the spokesman.

He said firemen brought the man to the foot of the hill and handed over the case to the police.
