Supply stockpiles of 30% above limit allowed in preparation for floods

KUALA LUMPUR: Selected district producers, wholesalers and retailers nationwide will be allowed to keep additional stock of up to 30% above the permitted storage limit, in preparation for disasters and emergencies, says Deputy Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Rosol Wahid.

He said that the initiative was to ensure a sufficient supply of daily necessities and food when the country faces floods, which was expected to be more difficult this time.
