Seat negotiations among Pakatan parties in S’gor completed, says Amirudin Shari

KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan has completed the negotiations of seats currently held by coalition parties in Selangor last week, says Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

He thanked PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli for concluding the negotiations for Pakatan saying that the coalition was currently fine-tuning its strategies for the 15th General Election.

“Pakatan is becoming more intact and stronger in Selangor,” he said during a ceramah in Melawati here on Sunday (Sept 11) night.

At an earlier event, Amirudin said that there were four more state seats left for discussion and the seats were contested and won by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia when it was still with Pakatan in 2018.

“The (negotiation for) parliament seats have been settled,” he said after launching Shah Alam Pakatan election machinery.

Bersatu left Pakatan in Feb 2020 to form Perikatan Nasional along with PAS, Gerakan, Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and Sabah STAR.

Amirudin also said more explanation regarding the controversy surrounding the degazettement of 406ha of Bukit Cerakah forest reserve would be given next week.

“Next Tuesday or Wednesday, my exco members will explain who was involved... so that the people know that we are transparent,” he said.

On Sept 6, Amirudin threatened to sue critics over the degazettement of the Bukit Cerakah forest reserve, after a Twitter user asked if the degazettement took place because the Mentri Besar was looking for political funding in GE15.
