Umno leaders keep mum as they leave special meet at HQ


KUALA LUMPUR: Umno leaders leaving the special meeting held at the party headquarters in Menara Dato Onn here on Monday (Aug 22) are keeping mum on what was discussed.

Melaka Umno chairman Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh, who was swarmed by the media on leaving the meeting, was evasive on the matter.

“We discussed other matters. I have another meeting to go to,” he said as he left the World Trade Centre .

The Melaka investment, industry, entrepreneur development and cooperatives committee chairman reiterated that nothing was discussed while trying to avoid questions from the media.

When asked if one of the matters discussed was former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Ab Rauf said he did not discuss it.

Soon after, former Terengganu mentri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail left the premises while avoiding the press.
