Umno leaders gather in KL for special meet


KUALA LUMPUR: Prominent Umno leaders have gathered at Menara Datuk Onn at the World Trade Centere Kuala Lumpur on Monday (Aug 22) for a special closed-door meeting.

The meeting is between the Umno president, deputy president and division chiefs.

The gathering is said to be in relation to a pertinent issue regarding the party’s future which was indicated in WhatsApp message that was being circulated.

It is believed that the 15th General Election is among the top issues to be discussed at the meeting.

Among the leaders seen attending the meeting were Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, former Terengganu mentri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said, Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin and Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Mohd. Sharkar Shamsudin.

Also seen were Kinabatangan Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and Johor Bahru Umno chief Datuk Shahrir Samad.
