Man injured, four houses razed in fire


MELAKA: A man was injured when he braved through a burning house to save his mother and an older sister in an incident at a settlement in front of the Bukit Piatu Apartments here on Thursday (Aug 18) night.

Technician Cheah Wei Liang, 43, suffered burns on the chest and left arm in the fire which broke out at about 10.30pm and destroyed four semi-wooden houses, believed to have been built more than 50 years ago.
