Sungai Udang farmers protest pollution of river, say it affects their livelihoods


MELAKA: A group of about 60 farmers in Sungai Udang here claim that the source of their livelihoods had been impacted due to toxic pollution of a river used as a source of irrigation.

Paya Rumput Jaya Smallholders’ Association chairman Mohammad Abd Rahman said the river pollution has caused damages to their agricultural lands, including banana and Musang King plantations.
