KUALA LUMPUR: Scams involving dubious apps that plunder bank accounts are on the rise, and the people have been urged to be mindful of what they download.
MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon said the party’s Public Services and Complaints Department has received many reports of money being transferred out of savings and fixed deposit accounts without the owners' knowledge after they downloaded apps from shady websites.
