PKR No. 2 contenders Saifuddin and Rafizi to debate on May 11

PETALING JAYA: The stage is set for a live debate between PKR deputy president candidates Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and Rafizi Ramli on May 11 at Studio F in Sinar Harian.

The one and a half hour 'Berani Semuka: Siapa Layak Bersama Anwar?' session, which starts at 3pm, will be hosted by Amin Idris, said Sinar Harian group editor-in-chief Rozaid Rahman in a statement.

Rozaid said the debate between the two future leaders of PKR was timely, as the PKR election this year would be seen as an indication of who would take over the party's leadership from Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar had won the presidency without contesting, leading to the fight for the deputy president's seat becoming the focus of many, especially among PKR members themselves.

According to Rozaid, this debate also serves as a platform or stage to test the credibility of the two candidates in submitting arguments on current issues, as well as the leadership and future of PKR.

The format of debate will begin with an introductory session from both parties and then followed by questions from each other and from the moderator.

The programme will be broadcast live on all Sinar Harian platforms.
