Operating theatres still shut at Sabah's QEH1 amid rush to repair electrical fault


Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd mobile generators were brought in to help power up Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 in Kota Kinabalu which was disrupted following an electrical cable fault on Tuesday.

KOTA KINABALU: Operating theatres at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 (QEH1) here remained temporarily closed for a second day on Wednesday (April 20) as works continue to fix an internal electrical fault.

According to officials, emergency cases including surgeries have been diverted to the Queen Elizabeth 2 Hospital and the Women and Children Hospital in Likas temporarily as technicians work to resolve power problems that occurred at 11.30pm on Tuesday (April 19).
