KOTA KINABALU: AirAsia became the first airline to open up direct international flights to Sabah since Covid-19 travel restrictions were lifted, with its Singapore-Kota Kinabalu route laying the foundation.
The AK1794 flight arrived at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) at 2.19pm yesterday, to be welcomed by a water salute ceremony upon landing with 119 passengers on board.
