No sign of tiger from viral video, says Perhilitan

IPOH: No tiger has been spotted by the Perak Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) officers at the site one was seen in a viral video along the Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands road.

When contacted, director Yusoff Shariff said the officers had gone to the site for monitoring purposes, but no tiger was found.

“There is a possibility that the tiger had gone back into the Bukit Tapah permanent forest reserve nearby.

“We will however continue to monitor from time to time to ensure the safety of the public, as well as the safety of the tiger itself,” he said.

Yusoff was updating on the status of the tiger seen in a short video making its rounds on social media, showing a tiger walking in some bushes, claimed to be in Perak.

In the video is stated that the tiger is seen at the side area of the Simpang Pulai road leading to Cameron Highlands.
