Former Bernama chairman Abdul Rahman Sulaiman passes away at 76


PETALING JAYA: Former Bernama chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Sulaiman passed away at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz in Cheras at 4pm Sunday (Jan 30).

Abdul Rahman's daughter told Bernama that her father had passed away due to a heart attack.

Abdul Rahman was born on May 26, 1946, and was a journalist and politician who became Bernama's 10th chairman on Feb 1, 2010, replacing Datuk Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini.

He was also elected as Barisan Nasional's Parti Buntar MP from 1995 to 1999.
