NIBONG TEBAL: A helicopter is being used as part of efforts to tackle a fire which broke at Pulau Burung landfill here since last Wednesday (Jan 12).

State environment and welfare committee chairman Phee Boon Poh said a water bombing method is being used by the helicopter.

"The helicopter arrived at the landfill site at about 9am from Subang and the operation is being done based on the thermal image provided by the Department of Environment," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 19).
