Four-wheel drive stolen from service centre in Sungai Penchala

KUALA LUMPUR: A black Ford Ranger four-wheel drive was reported stolen from a service centre in Sungai Penchala, off Jalan Damansara.

The vehicle belonged to a 60-year-old man, who sent the vehicle for servicing and to check the vehicle's doors, on Dec 22.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said a police report on the theft was lodged at 11.59am on Wednesday (Dec 29).

"The vehicle was last seen at the service centre at about 7pm on Tuesday (Dec 28).

"Checks on CCTV revealed two suspects at the service centre in a BMW, using fake number plates. The four-wheel drive is worth about RM150,000," he said in a statement on Thursday (Dec 30).

He urged witnesses to come forward to assist in identifying the suspects.

"We are investigating under Section 379A of the Penal Code.

"He also urged those with information to contact the Brickfields police hotline at 03-2297 9222, the KL police hotline at 03-2115 9999 or any nearest police station.
