Sarawak Polls: Don’t gamble on election results, says GPS’s Tiong King Sing

SIBU: Voters should not gamble on the results of the state polls or accept money to vote for a certain candidate, says GPS Dudong candidate Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing (pic).

He also said that the authorities should be on the ground to arrest bookies taking bets on the results of the Sarawak polls, adding that these bookies should be arrested so that people would not be victims of physical harm should they be unable to pay up.

“I urge all the people in the state including those in Sibu and Dudong to not gamble. There might be people offering RM3,000 or RM5,000 per vote. I will not give money for a single vote," he said at a press conference on Tuesday (Dec 7).

“We need to save our money as we do not know what will happen tomorrow,” added Tiong.
