Malaysia's reduced HIV cases through prevention, treatment, says Khairy


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has successfully reduced the number of new HIV cases to 3,146 in 2020 or 9.31 cases per 100,000 people through various prevention, control, treatment and care efforts implemented by the government over the past three decades, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

The Health Minister said this was a drop of 66 per cent compared to 2002, which recorded the highest number of new HIV cases at 6,978 or 28.5 cases per 100,000 population.
