Covid-19: Nearly 86% of Malaysia's teens fully vaccinated as of Sunday (Nov 28)

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 2,702,748 individuals, or 85.9% of the country’s adolescent population aged 12 to 17 years old completed their Covid-19 vaccination as of Sunday (Nov 28), says the Health Ministry.

Based on data from the Ministry's CovidNow portal, some 2,818,165 individuals or 89.6% of the group have received at least one dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine.

As for the adult population, 22,659,382 individuals or 96.8% have completed their vaccinations, while another 23,006,300 or 98.3% have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, CovidNow reported that a total of 42,010 vaccine doses were dispensed on Sunday with 2,030 as the first dose, 3,214 second doses and 36,766 booster shots, bringing the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme so far to 53,231,117 doses. - Bernama
