PJ cops seeking witnesses to accident where delivery rider was injured

PETALING JAYA: Witnesses to an accident along Jalan SS2/24 here where a food delivery rider was injured are urged to come forward to assist the police in their probe.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that a car crashed into the motorcycle at a traffic light junction in the incident at 4.30pm on Sunday (Nov 21).

In a video on social media, the food delivery rider is seen going through traffic light while the light shows red before the car collides into the motorcycle.

"The motorcyclist suffered injuries to his hip and hands. Witnesses are urged to contact traffic investigating officer Sjn Jahir Hussin at 017-372 2125 or the nearest police station," he said in a statement on Monday (Nov 22).

ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin also urged road users to obey traffic laws and be attentive on the road.
