KUALA LUMPUR: Speakers who use social media platforms to deliver religious talks or dakwah (Islamic propagation) have been reminded to exercise mindfulness and have disciplinary knowledge.
Although the existence of mediums such as social media had brought about a positive impact on the approach of dakwah and knowledge sharing, talking about sensitive issues that could result in controversy should be avoided, said Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) director-general Datuk Abdul Aziz Jusoh.
