Idris and Nor Azman’s membership ‘nullified’

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno has handed over the official letters to nullify the memberships of Datuk Seri Idris Haron and Datuk Nor Azman Hassan, who recently withdrew their support for Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali.

Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the letters were handed over to Tangga Batu Umno chief Datuk Seri Mohamad Ali Mohamad on Tuesday.

The letters were received by Idris and Nor Azman, who were members of the division, on Wednesday.

Idris is Sungai Udang assemblyman while Nor Azman is the Pantai Kundor elected representative.

Ahmad said according to two clauses in the Umno Constitution, their party memberships were nullified.
