Possibility of allowing marijuana for medical purposes being studied, says Home Minister

KUALA LUMPUR: The use of medical hemp and marijuana in Malaysia is being deliberated by several ministries and the Cabinet Committee to Combat Drugs, says Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

According to Hamzah (PN-Larut), the special Cabinet committee is currently looking into the possibility of allowing cannabis for medical purposes and its relevant laws.
