Parked car damaged as road gives way in Penang

GEORGE TOWN: A car was damaged in a landslip at Mount Erskine here on Friday (Oct 1).

Pulau Tikus assemblyman Chris Lee said there were six cars parked at the area.

"Residents were told to move their cars as there were cracks on the ground, he said.

He said five cars were moved before the ground gave way.

"Luckily, there were no casualties," he said on Friday.

Lee added that he had informed Penang public works committee chairman Zairil Khir Johari, who has said that the damage would be repaired using drainage allocations.
