Covid-19: 13,899 new cases recorded on Saturday (Sept 25)


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia reported 13,899 new Covid-19 cases, the Health Ministry said on Saturday (Sept 25).

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah tweeted that the country’s total cumulative infections now stands at 2,185,131 cases.

Sarawak recorded the highest daily figure with 2,712 new cases followed by Selangor (2,341) and Johor (1,377).

Kuala Lumpur continued to record low daily case figures with the federal territory reporting 310 new infections.

Several other states recorded new cases in four figures and they are Kelantan (1,170), Perak (1,128) and Penang (1,060).

The cases in other states are as follows; Sabah (962), Pahang (779), Terengganu (760), Kedah (708), Melaka (339), Negri Sembilan (194), Putrajaya (37), Perlis (17) and five in Labuan
