Duo seen with pink bracelets in viral photos in Bangi were headed home after Covid-19 test, say cops

KAJANG: Two foreign men in viral photos wearing pink bracelets while walking in Seksyen 7 Bukit Mahkota Bangi, were actually walking home after undergoing a Covid-19 test at a clinic, say police.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said police went to the location after receiving complaints from the public at about 9am on Thursday (Sept 23).

"The photos went viral after the foreign men were made to wear the pink bracelets at the clinic before walking home.

"We have instructed their employers to monitor their workers," he said when contacted.

The duo were workers at a factory in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, who tested positive, ACP Mohd Zaid said.

"They have been instructed to self-quarantine at home from Wednesday (Sept 22) until Oct 1.

"We will also monitor the situation from time to time," he said.
