Newspaper vendor injured in parang attack robbery

A NEWSPAPER vendor in Ipoh was attacked with a parang by a young couple trying to rob her, Makkal Osai reported.

Rajeswari Thirunavukkarasu, 61, did not suspect anything amiss when a young man entered her shop on the pretext of buying cigarettes. However, he suddenly attacked the shop owner with a parang and managed to escape with cash from the counter, her handphone and purse.
