Zahid should have immunity from prosecution, court told


KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi should have immunity from prosecution as he had truthfully disclosed all information pertaining to transactions involving his charity foundation Yayasan Akalbudi, the High Court here heard.

Lawyer Hisyam Teh Poh Teik said that his client – the former deputy prime minister - had made two statements on July 2, 2018 (marked as exhibit D35) and on July 3, 2018 (marked as D36) pursuant to Section 30(3)(b) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act.
