Kinta folk may now walk in for Covid-19 jabs at Town Hall in Batu Gajah

IPOH: Members of the public may now walk in for their Covid-19 vaccination jabs at the Kinta Town Hall in Batu Gajah, the second vaccination centre (PPV) to allow this after Stadium Indera Mulia here.

According to the Kinta Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force, walk-ins start Monday (Sept 6) from 8am to 5pm.

However, walk-ins at the Town Hall are limited to 200 people a day on a first come, first served basis and subject to daily vaccination capacity and supply.

Priority will be given to Malaysian citizens aged 40 and above, especially those with chronic illnesses like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and those with a body mass index of 30 and above.

Women who are at least 12 weeks pregnant and who bring along their pink appointment book will also be given priority.

Those living in the Kinta district would need to show proof via their MyKad or utility bill.

Those who have had close contact with a Covid-19 positive patient, are undergoing quarantine and have symptoms such as cough, fever, flu and headaches will not be accepted.

State Health director Datuk Dr Ding Lay Ming had said on Sunday (Sept 5) that walk-ins are allowed at the Stadium Indera Mulia PPV.
