Cabinet has tendered its resignation to the King, says Khairy


PETALING JAYA: Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has posted an Instagram story on his verified account, saying that the Cabinet has tendered its resignation to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

"Thank you for the the opportunity to, once again, serve the nation, May God bless Malaysia," he said via the Instagram story on Monday (Aug 16).

At 12.23pm, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had arrived at Istana Negara for an audience with the King that lasted about 40 minutes.

The Pagoh MP left Istana Negara at 1.01pm and is expected to address the nation in a televised broadcast at 2pm.
