JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar seems to taken a thinly-veiled jab against politicians for their relentless fighting to be in power.
His Majesty uploaded an image of Prophet Muhammad’s words from Imam al-Bukhari Hadith on Facebook here on Friday (Aug 6).
The Hadith reads: “Sesungguhnya kalian akan bersungguh-sungguh menginginkan jawatan, sedangkan jawatan itu akan menjadi sesalan pada hari Kiamat (jika tidak dijalankan dengan baik).”
This translates to: “Indeed, you will earnestly want a position, when that position will be a regret come judgement day (if not carried out properly).”
The post received more than 11,000 reactions and was shared more than 1,000 times.
