No Pejuang support for Perikatan

PETALING JAYA: The four MPs of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air will not back the Perikatan Nasional government and no statutory declarations have been signed in support of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as prime minister.

Pejuang information chief Ulya Aqamah dispelled talk that the party was cooperating or negotiating with anyone to support the Perikatan government.

“Pejuang has never signed any SDs in support of ‘Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin’,” Ulya said in a brief statement yesterday.

The four Pejuang MPs are Langkawi MP Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir (Jerlun), Datuk Amiruddin Hamzah (Kubang Pasu) and Datuk Shahruddin Md Salleh (Sri Gading).

Ulya said the Pejuang MPs would focus on issues concerning public health and the economy.
